The ESPY Awards 2021

Bringing the ESPY Awards back to New York City for the first time since 1999 we wanted to integrate the grit and vitality of the city into the graphics package and opening title sequence. We started by shooting footage all over the city, taking care not to shoot the standard stock footage locations one might expect. After several nights of running all over NYC we motion tracked and built controllers to help our vision of the city “unfold” into the graphic landscapes we needed.
